Graduate Project Developer - mobile technology / computer testing

Our client’s Project Development team in Uxbridge is looking for a summer EPM intern. The job description is below.

The EPM intern will work together with a team of highly skilled test engineers and developers to assist with scheduling and co-ordinating test sessions and help ensure that all issues are tracked and reported back to the development team.

The role may include some of the following duties:

  • Support the carrier approval of mobile phones
  • Generate and own compliance documents for cellular products
  • Specify and coordinate internal certification tests and field trials 
  • Analyze network features and operator requirements and provide feedback to engineering and marketing with regard to complexities and capability
  • Manage conformance tests (FTA) and regulatory approvals (FCC, IC, etc)

Preferred Experience:

  • BS/MS degree EE/CE in progress
  • Knowledge of wireless standards, especially ETSI standards
  • Knowledge of protocol stack features, preferably for GSM/EDGE
  • Familiar with network features and current deployment
  • Familiar with test specifications for type approval, e.g. ETSI51.010 
  • Familiar with FCC test requirements for cellular products
  • Solid planning and communication skills
  • Be proactive and be able to be firm with carriers/vendors
  •  Abilities to work in cross functional teams and manage customer interface
