About a month after my old friend/boss left my old company (back in November), my old work crush left too. The only person who is still there with whom I have any emotional interest is my big sister from work, who took over for my friend/boss when he left.

Now that the “good” people have left (and some of the “not good” people were fired), my big sister at work had to hire a new salesperson. Unfortunately, almost a year after I left the sales department, I’m the only one who remembers how to do all the little tasks that the new person needs to learn. It makes sense actually; I trained everyone else, and now everyone else is no longer with the company.

My big sister from work emailed me earlier in the week to ask me a question about a task I used to do. After I gave her a detailed response, she replied asking if I could go into the office for half a day to help train the new salesperson. I would be a consultant for my old job. If it was anyone else asking (like, for example, my old boss who didn’t talk to me for the last six months of my employment), I probably would have said no immediately.

Lucky for her, my Thursdays are completely open this term. Tomorrow afternoon, I’m going back to work!

And yes, they’re paying me. My big sister from work offered me a rate that’s higher than when I was working there!

7 and a half.

That’s how many hours I’ve worked at my one job this week [so far]. I work 2-630 tomorrow. I worked at my other job on monday 1130-5. So that’s 5 and a half. Yes. That’s a lot of working [for me]. I have a headache.

I can’t wait until the weekend. Tomorrow is one month until Valentine’s Day!! Yeah. I start school this Wednesday coming up, the 20th, my 16-month anniversary. (That’s still crazy to me).

I’m reading a book called ”Dear John” now. It’s coming out in theaters on Feb 2. The preview made me sad. How do you think I will be watching the real movie? Geez. I know. But it’s so good so far. If it’s in the library, you should rent it out.

I’m very tired. I just wanted to let you guys know what was going on.

I’ve got a JOB!!

I’ve got a JOB!! I’m staring tomorrow and it’s a sweet Gig. Except for the occasional garbage detail I am basically doing surveillance. I’m sitting at a desk looking at video monitors. I should stalk up on some Reese Peanut butter cups for snackage but not too many. I heard that white collar office jobs can make people put on the pounds. This job is right up my ally, I’m always watching videos anyway.

Long time no see?

Well, it seems I’ve been away a long time. Except I’ve not been away, just trying to concentrate on getting work, without much success. I had the chance of an interview last month, but was unable to get to the place. Firstly the car rental company re-allocated the car I’d already paid for (nice one Alamo, I still feel you’ve stolen from me). I tried to go by train to the interview and got to Euston station only to find that all trains were cancelled at that point (it was the Friday before the holidays when we were surprised by snow). The interview was re-arranged for Wednesday this week but guess what the snow came again and my chance of the interview went out the window.

Apart from that I’ve been working on my new website. It may be of use for Spanish speakers – enter in an English word eg “deep”, “useful”, or “bear” and various expressions will be displayed, next to their Spanish translation. Early days yet, so the database isn’t anywhere near comprehensive, but there are still quite a few words to look at.

Mon Traveil

Je traveille à l’enterprise qui est le grand producteur du thé vert et aussi produit les autres sortes de boissons. Je traveille au service internationale qu’il s’agit les vente étrangers. Mon rôle est à préparer et envoyer les produits aux clients d’après une commande du client. Il est nécessaire pour moi de faire une attention toute particulière à le stock de notre merchandises pour ne pas les manquer. Donc, je toujours prends contact avec beaucoup de collègues d’autres departments au téléphone. Comme notre clients sont à l’étranger, je dois préparer les documents qui sont nécessaire pour exporter notre produits. Je ne suis pas permis de faire aucune erreurs, donc je suis très attentif et sérieux pendent le traveil. De neuf heure à seize heure, je continue à traveil tellment sans cesse. En effet, je suis fatigué aprés le traveil. Mais je suis content de mon position et tâche maintenant.
